The Groves, a 993-acre project of Crescent Communities, is the North Carolina developer's first community in Houston. The property is off West Lake Houston Parkway south of Will Clayton Parkway within the Humble Independent School District.  Crescent Communities is entering the Houston market with The Groves, planned to contain about 2,200 homes within the Humble Independent School District.  

Home sales have now begun at The Groves in northeast Houston, as six builders have embarked on phase one of the 993-acre master-planned development. Highland Homes, David Weekley Homes, Darling Homes, Taylor Morrison, Trendmaker Homes and Village Builders will offer the first 189 of an estimated 2,200 homes in the community, as representatives have recently begun actively preselling.

“The Groves will offer residents tremendous benefits in location, outdoor spaces and home style varieties that suit their lifestyles,” said Jim Zimmermann, vice president of Crescent Communities’ residential group in Houston. “We’ve already seen plenty of pre-sale interest, and in fact Highland Homes has already sold their first two homes. We encourage interested buyers to contact our sales office for more information, and to have an opportunity to view the premium locations.”

Some of the builders’ model homes will be completed and ready for viewing by the end of this year, as The Groves will offer three home site sizes in phase one with homes beginning at 2,000 square feet. Village Builders and David Weekley will build homes ranging from 2,000 square feet to 3,300 square feet on 55-by-130-foot lots; Highland and Darling will feature homes from 2,400 square feet to 3,700 square feet on lots that are 60-by-130 feet and Trendmaker and Taylor Morrison will feature 70-by-130 foot lots with homes starting at 3,000 square feet.
